Top 10 Tech CEOs of 2012: The Rise and Falls

Here is a list of  Top 10 Tech CEOs of the last 24 months: There are obviously some unexpected Rise and Falls.

Apple is not only killing it in the stock market and in the living room. The company’s top brass also is winning the respect of employees, with Apple CEO Tim Cook recently being named the most respected tech CEO in the country. According to a report by Glassdoor, Cook scored an approval rating of 97 percent among employees.

And what exactly is going on with Jeff Bezos? Even though the Amazon.com founder made it into the top 10, his approval rating is on the decline. Bezos, who has boosted Amazon’s stock by 417 percent in the past five years, saw his approval rating dip from 84 percent to 79 percent. He was one of three tech CEOs in the top 10 Glassdoor rating who experienced an approval decline, joining Google’s Larry Page and EMC’s Joe Tucci.

And, since I know many of you are wondering, Steve Ballmer didn’t make it in the top 10. The Microsoft CEO is near the bottom of major tech companies with an approval rating of just 37 percent.
