3 Reasons Why It’s Ok to Monitor Your Child with a BlackBerry Monitoring Application

Taking care of a child is not what it used to be. From online stalkers to bullying to eating disorders, dangers are closer and even more fatal than before. And that’s without even counting the dangers that we had when we were young.

That’s the main reason why I advise parents to use a BlackBerry monitoring application. I know the idea might not be too appealing at first, but parents who have used it find a whole world of difference in their peace of mind. If you are opposed to it, here’s why you should definitely use it:

1.- There are new dangers in the world.

When we were children, we were told by our parents not to talk with strangers and very often they were with us to make sure we didn’t. Today, the whole world and literally millions of strangers can reach your child through his BlackBerry, and who knows what their intentions are. I’m sure there are several well-intended people out there, but it’s practically impossible to tell them apart from those who could harm our children. Also, the online world makes violence and sex available to children much more easily than before.

2.- It allows you to know where your child is at any moment.

I’m sure that you sometimes wonder where your child is or if he is at the place he’s supposed to be. It’s not rare for children to tell their parents they are going to be at a place and then go to another. Sometimes they lie to cover up something and if they are hiding something from you, you bet you want to know what it is. Other times, however, they simply change their mind or their friends do and forget to let us know. Finally, some children just get so caught up playing a video game or doing something that they don’t answer our calls.

3.- Because your child doesn’t have a right to privacy from you.

That’s right, you are the parent and the one that will end up paying the consequences of your child’s actions. Moreover, if something happens to your child, you’ll be the one that will carry the emotional pain. As if it weren’t enough, your child’s BlackBerry was paid by you. So, no, your child doesn’t get a right to privacy from you.

Conclusions

Using a BlackBerry monitoring application is becoming mainstream these days, as more and more parents are discovering that it’s much easier to have a way of monitoring their child than to keep worrying and wondering about their children.
